We are engaged in offering Pollution Control Scrubber which are considered as the air pollution control devices. These use the high-energy liquid spray to remove aerosol and gaseous pollutants from an air stream.

A wet scrubber is an air pollution control device used to remove pollutants from industrial exhaust gases or other gas streams. It works by using a liquid (usually water) to capture and remove particulate matter and/or gases from the air. Wet scrubbers are commonly employed in various industries to comply with environmental regulations and improve air quality. Here are the key components and principles of operation for a wet scrubber:
**Key Components:**
1. **Scrubbing Chamber:**   - This is the main chamber where the polluted gas stream is brought into contact with the scrubbing liquid. The chamber is designed to maximize the interaction between the gas and liquid phases.
2. **Spray Nozzles:**   - These are used to introduce the scrubbing liquid (water or other suitable liquid) into the scrubbing chamber. The liquid is often atomized into small droplets to increase its surface area and enhance contact with the pollutants.
3. **Packing Material or Structured Packing:**   - Some wet scrubbers may contain packing material (like plastic, metal, or ceramic) that provides a large surface area for the gas-liquid contact. This promotes the absorption or adsorption of pollutants.
4. **Fan or Blower:**   - A fan or blower is used to create the necessary airflow through the scrubber. This helps in drawing the polluted gas into the scrubber and expelling the cleaned air.
5. **Exhaust Stack:**   - The cleaned air is then discharged through an exhaust stack into the atmosphere.
**Principle of Operation:**
1. **Contact between Polluted Gas and Liquid:**   - The polluted gas stream is introduced into the scrubbing chamber, where it comes into contact with the scrubbing liquid.
2. **Absorption or Adsorption:**   - The pollutants in the gas stream are absorbed or adsorbed by the liquid. This can include particulate matter as well as gases such as sulfur dioxide (SO2) or hydrogen chloride (HCl).
3. **Chemical Reactions:**   - In some cases, the scrubbing liquid may contain chemicals that react with specific pollutants to form less harmful compounds. For example, alkaline solutions can react with acidic gases to form salts.
4. **Removal of Contaminated Liquid:**   - The liquid, now containing the captured pollutants, is collected at the bottom of the scrubbing chamber and removed for further treatment or disposal.
Wet scrubbers are versatile and can be designed to handle a variety of pollutants. They are commonly used in industries such as power generation, metal processing, chemical manufacturing, and waste incineration. The choice of scrubber design and operating parameters depends on the specific pollutants and conditions of the gas stream being treated.

What Are Wet Scrubbers and How Do They Work?
A wet scrubber, also known as a wet scrubber device, is a form of scrubber used to extract toxic materials from industrial flue gas known as exhaust gases before they are discharged into the atmosphere. Water is the most often used solvent for removing inorganic contaminants. Water is encapsulated in a metal or concrete jar in the most basic type of wet scrubbers, dirty gas is passed into the water, the water collects the pollutants, and clean gas escapes the scrubber.
We are providing a Pollution Control Scrubbers.

Scrubbing of Particulate Matter with Water
Particulate matter can be removed by wet scrubbers by collecting it in liquid droplets. The clumps are then collected, and the solvent either dissolves or absorbs the pollutant gases. A mist eliminator must be used to remove any droplets in the scrubber air intake gas from the outlet gas source. Additionally, the resulting scrubbing solvent must be stored before being discharged or reused in the factory.
The ability of a wet scrubber to collect particulate matter is often directly proportional to the power input into the scrubber. In order to achieve high removal efficiencies, a mist eliminator must be correctly engineered and worked. Wet scrubbers are commonly the only single air emission control system that can eliminate all particulate matter and gases if the flue gas comprises both.

Criteria while selecting Wet Scrubber

  • Volume of Dust Laden Gas/ Air
  • Input/ Output Dust Concentration
  • Particle Size Distribution
  • Type of Dust
  • Allowable Pressure Drop

Generic Specifications:

  • Minimum Particle Size: 0.51 Micron
  • Type: Wet Scrubber, scrubber tower
  • Material: SS304, SS304L, 316, 316L, MS, Nickel, Monel other alloys

Performance Indicators
  • Pressure differential
  • liquid flow rate
  • Scrubber liquid outlet concentration
are the primary indicators of wet scrubber efficiency.

Material of Construction
Corrosion is a significant issue for chemical industry scrubbing devices. Fibre-reinforced plastic and dual keys are often used as building materials.

Design of Wet Scrubber
The configuration of wet scrubbers or some other air pollution control system is determined by the manufacturing process conditions and the type of air pollutants involved. The properties of the inlet gas and dust are of the utmost importance. Scrubbers may be engineered to collect particulate matter as well as gaseous emissions. Wet scrubbers' flexibility allows them to be installed in a variety of configurations, all of which are engineered to have good contact between the liquid and dirty gas stream.

Applications of Wet Scrubber
  • Chemical
  • Glass
  • Cement
  • Oil Refinery
  • Food Processing
  • Petrochemical
  • Fertilizers
  • Non Metal Processing
  • Asphalt Plant
  • Coal Plant
  • General Waste Incineration
  • Crematorium

Advantages of Wet Scrubber
  • Wet scrubbers can withstand high temperatures and moisture.
  • Flue gases are cooled in wet scrubbers, resulting in a reduced overall scale of machinery.
  • Both gases and particulate matter can be removed using wet scrubbers.
  • Corrosive gases can be neutralised using wet scrubbers.
  • Less Water Requirement
  • Simple to Upgrade to Meet Future Standards
  • Wide Range of Applications Available with Integrated Stack Design

Given the advantages, there are a few disadvantages. They require regular repairs and can be heavily corroded.
